About | White’s Beach, Auckland
White’s Beach in Auckland can be accessed by the northern end of Piha. Park up and walk to the end of Piha Beach. Before the reach the rocks, head to the right where the Laird Thompson Track starts, (hidden beneath the trees). It’ll take you up through the bush, the path will then split up.
Go left and it’ll take you to a nice viewing point, let the kids rest up on the seat as they take in the view of the west coast.
Go back and taking the other path will take you down to White’s Beach. This track is a little tricky when you get down to the cliff but it has a safety rope to help you down. Only bring the older kids for this one, it can be dangerous. Once you’re down, walk along the rocks and you’ll have made it to White’s Beach where you’ll probably have the place to yourself.
Don’t forget the camera!

Photos
It was a beautiful day when we set off down the Laird Thompson Track. Heading up to the Te Waha Point Lookout first, we took in the stunning views of the coastline and out to the Tasman Sea. This would have been a great spot to put down a picnic blanket and lay out with some lunch to enjoy the view a little longer.
It’s a bit of a harder walk down to White’s Beach, you’ll be walking right along the cliff but there is a safety rope to help you down.
