About | JF Kennedy Memorial Park
Park up at JF Kennedy Memorial Park and let the kids run free range around the playground. There are several walks but the one we like the best is going past the gun emplacements and down the long stairs to the beach! These stairs were closed for a few years after they had been damaged during a storm but were re-done and re-opened for everyone to enjoy again. Go explore the beach and see if you can find any gun emplacements along the way.
The tunnels are open for guided tours on the second Sunday of each month, between11am – 2pm. Gold coin donation. Historian volunteers will guide you through the tunnels all while explaining the background of the place.
It is also a popular area to walk dogs.

These stairs heading down to Castor Bay were impressive!
Running up and down them would sure make a great exercise!
