About | Bridal Veil Falls
Walk to the very top of the 55m Bridal Veil Falls and look down as the water goes tumbling over the cliff and comes crashing down below, spraying water everywhere. Also a great view of the surrounding countryside.
Then venture down to the bottom of the falls where there will be a few viewing points along the way. It’s several flights of stairs down (or 261 steps to be exact). Follow the boardwalk all the way to the bottom where it crosses over the stream so that you can get the best view of these amazing falls. Feel the spray of the water, breathe in the fresh air and take it all in. There are information boards where you can read up on how the place was formed.
It’ll take 10 minutes to reach the top of the falls and another 10 minutes to get down to the bottom.
The track to the top of the Bridal Veil Falls is buggy and wheelchair friendly.
This is a Kiwi Guardian spot so grab your map and be on the lookout.

We hadn’t been to this place in too long and it was just spectacular. It’s a big waterfall and I love how close you can get to it and feel the spray of it on your face. Absolutely amazing. The walk was easy and goes through the beautiful forest.
If you’re collecting the Kiwi Guardian medals, be on the lookout!
Reaching the bottom, we were just like, “Wow.” This place is incredible and we definitely recommend coming to the base of the falls if you can. I mean you just drove 30 minutes to get here. Enjoy it!
