About | Mangawhero Falls

300m | 5 minutes return

The Mangawhero Falls track is just a short walk to a picturesque 28-metre waterfall and well worth the stop on your way down from the mount. Being so accessible, the Mangawhero Falls is one of the most popular waterfalls to visit in the Tongariro National Park. During winter, you might be able to see icicles forming around the falls.

We came across this walk to the Mangawhero Falls rather unexpectantly, but on our way back down from the mount we saw the sign and just had to pull over and go for a wander and I’m so glad we did!
