Northland

Sun kissed beaches, days by the beach, nature trails and long, lazy days.

Drive up north and you’ll find the roads more peaceful, the pace slow and endless sun kissed beaches to choose from. If it’s peace and quiet you’ve come for, you’ve arrived at the right place. Though this is becoming more and more popular during the summer months as more people rave about there blissful and quiet holiday spots that they return to year after year, there are plenty of quiet and hidden beaches waiting to be discovered, and you’ll most likely have them all to yourself.

You’ll find calm beaches, perfect for swimming, boat tours and dolphin sightseeing and numerous walks on the east and wild and rough oceans, sand dunes, giant forests and clear lakes to the east. At the top you’ll see where the oceans meet, the longest beach in New Zealand (perfect for exploring if you’ve got a 4WD), untouched pristine beaches and a walkers paradise. Each has it’s charm and perfect for a memorable and relaxing family road trip.
